Why Do Dogs Bark At Trash Pickers?

Dogs bark at trash pickers for a variety of reasons:

1. Territorial Behavior: Dogs are naturally protective of their home and territory. When they see a stranger, especially someone handling objects around their territory, they may perceive it as a threat.

2. Fear or Anxiety: The unfamiliar sight and sounds of trash pickers and their equipment can cause fear or anxiety in dogs, leading them to bark as a defensive mechanism.

3. Attention Seeking: Dogs may bark to get attention from their owners or the person outside.

4. Instinct: Dogs have a natural instinct to alert their pack (their owners) to any potential intruders or changes in their environment.

5. Curiosity: Sometimes, dogs bark out of curiosity. The activity of trash picking is unusual and may intrigue them, prompting a vocal response.
